Read: Psalm 119: 145-149
“…it is good for me to draw near to God. Psalm 73:28
Good
Morning!
The wife made a brief trip to the grocery store to purchase some
items in order to surprise her husband with dinner. To her shock, when the
young wife swiped her card to pay her grand total of $37.63, her transaction
was declined. She neglected to deposit her check in the bank.
There are no returns without a deposit. A possible explanation for
why your spiritual growth has been stagnant could be present. Have you made any
deposits with God? Without making any
deposits with God, how can one expect a return? No Deposit = No Return.
We should strive to emulate King Solomon as an example. When God
instructed Solomon to request whatever he desired, Solomon complied precisely.
In contrast to requesting riches from the world, Solomon asked for a wise and
discerning heart, as stated in 1 Kings 3:9.
There is no charge for what God has available for us! There is no
application fees or references required to seek a relationship with God. By
adopting the attitude of Solomon of acknowledging, expressing our love for the
Lord, and adhering to His commands, He will surely bestow His blessings upon
us.
To be assured that deposits are sufficient in God's bank, how can
we apply for God's line of credit? In order for us to continually grow and develop spiritually, we must:
Deposit - into our prayer
life,
Deposit – time in prayer
Deposit - giving thanks
Deposit – Bible reading & meditating
If you prioritize spending more time with
God, He will reward you with a positive dividens. Everything we receive comes
with a price, except for His Love, grace, and merc! No deposit – No return.
Prayer
Dear Heavenly Father,
I want to be aligned to your will. Meet me at the altar as I begin to deposit
more time in prayer, thanksgiving, studying and building a relationship with
you. In exchange Lord you will provide
me with all my needs. This is my prayer in your son Jesus Christ name. Amen
